Privacy & your data

The short version: we ask for one thing — your email — and only so we can tell you when a status changes. We don't track you, run analytics, or sell anything.

Who we are (data controller)

What we collect and why

  • Your email address — only when you subscribe, so we can send change alerts.
  • Your chosen tags — which compound(s) you asked to follow, so we send only relevant alerts.
  • Subscription timestamps and confirmation state — to operate double opt-in and honor unsubscribes.
  • Minimal technical data — our host (Cloudflare) may process limited request metadata (such as IP address) transiently for security and abuse prevention. We don't build profiles from it.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics on this site.

Legal basis (GDPR Article 6)

We process your email on the basis of your consent, which you give by subscribing and confirming via the double opt-in link. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing; withdrawal doesn't affect processing done before it.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your data. We share it only with the processors that make the service run:

  • Resend — our email delivery provider, which sends the confirmation and alert emails on our behalf.
  • Cloudflare — our hosting and database (D1) provider, where the subscriber list is stored.

Both act as our processors under contract and may store data in the United States or other regions; appropriate safeguards apply to international transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the active list; we may retain a minimal suppression record (a one-way hash) so we don't accidentally email you again.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct it if it's wrong.
  • Have it erased ("right to be forgotten").
  • Withdraw consent / unsubscribe at any time.
  • Receive a copy in a portable format.
  • Lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.

Children

This service isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and its date. Material changes affecting subscribers will be announced by email.
